On Friday, February 8, Tampa Prep welcomed more than 300 grandparents and special friends from all over the United States to spend a day in class with their students.
The morning started with breakfast in the Walter Athletic Complex. This year, Earnest, our school mascot, made a special appearance to give families the true Terrapin experience. Another new addition this year was a mirror photo booth that let you view your pose and receive an instant printed copy!
Students and their special guests headed off to class to experience courses on virtual reality, the arts, sciences and more. After attending three classes, the day ended with everyone returning to the Walter Athletic Complex for a special assembly.
The Grandparents Day assembly began with a speech from Associate Head of School Joe Fenlon and continued with performances from both the Middle and Upper School Chorus and our Band, which required audience participation from our visitors.
